There is something timeless about coastal living. The calmness of ocean breezes, the softness of natural textures, and the warmth of thoughtfully designed spaces often create feelings of comfort that stay with people for years. Today, many modern lifestyle brands are embracing these emotions through products that feel personal, grounded, and connected to nature.
Inspired by childhood memories and a deep love for beachside living, Coastal Habitat has created a brand experience that brings serenity, sustainability, and artisanal craftsmanship into everyday homes. Through natural décor pieces and meaningful storytelling, the brand beautifully captures the soul of coastal life.
A Brand Inspired By Coastal Childhood Memories

Founded in June 2021 by Arushi, Coastal Habitat was born from memories of growing up in the coastal town of Tuticorin. Weekends spent by the beach, collecting shells, driftwood, and dried flowers with family eventually became the emotional foundation of the brand.
The name itself reflects the atmosphere of her childhood home, where natural treasures and candlelit interiors created spaces filled with warmth and comfort. That personal connection to the ocean continues to influence every aspect of Coastal Habitat today, helping customers experience the peaceful essence of coastal living within their own homes.
The brand’s aesthetic is intentionally serene, calm, clean, and natural. Each product is designed to evoke a quiet sense of relaxation while maintaining simplicity and elegance that easily blends into modern interiors.
Thoughtfully Crafted Products With Natural Elements

Coastal Habitat currently offers collections including dried flowers and table décor inspired by beach towns across the world. Their dried floral arrangements reflect colours, textures, and themes reminiscent of coastal destinations, while their table décor incorporates natural materials such as banana fibre and sisal fibre.
Sustainability remains deeply embedded within the brand’s philosophy. Coastal Habitat operates its own dried flower manufacturing unit and sources raw materials directly from farmers across India. The brand also prioritizes renewable natural fibres and keeps packaging minimal and efficient to reduce shipping-related carbon emissions.
Equally important is their commitment to ethical production. The company focuses on smaller production quantities to avoid unnecessary waste while creating products designed for long-term use rather than short-term trends. This conscious approach allows the brand to balance aesthetics with responsibility.
Empowering Women Through Meaningful Craftsmanship

One of the most inspiring aspects of Coastal Habitat is its strong focus on women-led growth and empowerment. The brand is built through a mother-daughter partnership, with Arushi leading brand growth and marketing while her mother, Ritu, oversees product design and development.
Their operations are further supported by Keerthy, Head of Operations, alongside a predominantly women-led production workforce trained in the artisanal craft of dried flower creation. Beyond their in-house team, the brand also collaborates with the NGO CAST in Tirunelveli, supporting underprivileged women and survivors of abuse.
Through this partnership, women are trained in handcrafted sisal fibre products, while Coastal Habitat helps connect their creations to domestic and export markets. For the founders, this collaboration represents more than business growth. It creates opportunities for financial independence, dignity, and long-term empowerment.
Looking ahead, Coastal Habitat is preparing to expand into jewellery and swimwear while continuing to stay true to its coastal identity. Inspired by the same relaxed elegance that defines its home décor collections, these upcoming offerings aim to extend the brand’s signature coastal aesthetic beyond interiors and into everyday personal style, creating a complete coastal lifestyle experience.
