While she longed to pursue fine arts as her life’s calling, Deepali’s family lineage of engineers and doctors, led her to learn Law, where she distinguished herself with a prestigious 3rd rank at Mumbai University. Upon completing her Law degree, she casually started baking as a hobby and soon discovered the joy of crafting delightful treats for friends and family. Encouraged by the response Deepali enrolled in a professional bakery certificate course at IHM, Mumbai and soon from a humble space in Prabhadevi, Lil Sugar Palette – the enchanting world of edible art – came into being. Her parents have been incredibly supportive, playing a crucial role in turning her dream into reality.
Today, Lil Sugar Palette is testimony to Deepali’s commitment to the artistry of baking. Her incredible talent for crafting life like cakes has been recognized at significant forums, she has featured in prestigious magazines, felicitated with Gold Awards, been invited as a jury member and also been a member of the Advisory Committee for Master Cake 2021. She was also felicitated by Chef Varun Inamdar. Just recently she was also chosen as ‘Hall of Fame’ by Baskersville. She was one of the finalists at Indian Cake Awards 2019, one of the most prestigious Cake Awards in India.

The enterprise roots are in Pune
Deepali relocated to Pune in 2020 where she owns a compact and charming home cake studio. She is passionate about sharing her cake decorating knowledge. She weaves her magic to design intricately detailed cakes for her masterclasses where she teaches the skill to transform ordinary cakes into extraordinary ones. From realistic sculpted cakes to elegant wedding cakes her offline workshops are available at her home studio. She also travels to other cities to conduct her Masterclasses on invitation. She has expanded her reach through online classes, welcoming students from around the world. Her mission is simple- share unbaised knowledge and skills and help her students emerge as well trained professional bakers.
