Some brands begin with a business plan. Others begin with a feeling. For Merge Design, it started with a quiet observation that fashion, for the longest time, has been telling women who to be, instead of asking who they already are.
Founded in March 2018 by Meena Beni Singh along with her partner Shubhendu Ranjan, both alumni of NIIFT Mohali, Merge was never meant to be just another fashion label. It was built as a space where a woman doesn’t have to transform into someone else to feel beautiful. She simply has to arrive as she is.
Designing With Her, Not For Her.

At the heart of Merge lies a deeply personal philosophy. Every outfit is not just designed, it is co-created. There is an understanding that confidence is not always loud. Not every woman wants to experiment boldly, and not every woman feels ready to step into something unfamiliar. And that’s okay.
Merge meets her exactly where she is.
Each piece becomes a gentle conversation between the brand and the woman wearing it. Her personality, her comfort, her story, her body. Everything is considered before a single thread comes together. The result is not just clothing, but a reflection. An elevated version of her reality, never a replacement for it.
Aesthetic That Balances Elegance and Playfulness.

Merge Design exists in that delicate in-between. It is where elegance meets a quiet sense of individuality. Where ethnic wear carries a subtle, quirky twist. Where intricate embroideries, layered textures, and thoughtful detailing come together without overpowering the wearer.
The intention is simple yet powerful. To help a woman stand out without ever feeling like she is trying too hard.
From flowing kaftans and structured dresses to draped sarees, gowns, coordinated sets, and statement lehenga pieces, every creation carries this balance. Occasion wear feels special, yet wearable. Everyday pieces feel elevated, yet effortless.
Building Trust, One Woman at a Time.

In the early days, the biggest challenge was not just creating beautiful designs. It was building trust. Custom clothing asks for something deeper than a purchase. It asks for belief. Especially when it becomes a part of someone’s most important moments.
At the same time, navigating the realities of running a business, from managing finances to understanding cash flow, brought its own learning curve. It required stepping beyond creativity into structure, patience, and resilience. But somewhere along the way, it became clear that Merge was never just about garments. It was about relationships. And relationships take time.
Creativity Rooted in Real Stories
In a world that constantly chases trends, Merge chooses to pause. Creativity here does not come from what is popular, but from what feels real. It is shaped by observing women, their emotions, their journeys, and their evolving sense of self.

Trends are acknowledged, but never followed blindly. Every idea is filtered through one simple question. Does it feel authentic to her? And perhaps that is where originality finds its space. Not in trying to be different, but in staying honest.
Growing Through Connection
For Merge, platforms like Instagram are not just about visibility. They are about connection. As the digital world expands, so does the way the brand interacts with its audience. Moving toward a more virtual, appointment-based experience, Merge is creating spaces where conversations happen in real time. Where designs are not just selected, but shaped together.
It allows the brand to go beyond geography and find its people, wherever they are. Because in the end, it is not about reach alone. It is about resonance.
Milestones That Matter.

Over time, Merge Design has found its place among notable platforms like Aza Fashions, Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop, and Estie Couture in the UK. These associations have helped expand its presence while strengthening credibility.
Moments of recognition have also come through women in the public eye, including Raveena Tandon, Divyanka Tripathi, and Shweta Tiwari, who have worn the label with their own sense of grace. And yet, beyond all of this, the most meaningful milestones remain the everyday ones. Every woman who chooses Merge. Every story that becomes a part of it.
A Future That Stays Rooted
Looking ahead, the vision for Merge Design is one of thoughtful growth. There is a desire to expand into ready-to-wear and prêt collections while continuing to nurture the custom experience that defines the brand. To become commercially stronger, yet emotionally grounded.
To grow, but never lose the feeling of home.
Because at its core, Merge will always stand for the same belief it began with.
That fashion should not change a woman.
It should celebrate her.
