The Indian fashion industry is undergoing a meaningful transformation. Consumers are steadily moving away from mass produced garments and embracing personalization, craftsmanship, and design that carries emotional value. In bridal and occasion wear especially, individuality now defines luxury more than passing trends.
In this evolving landscape, customization focused labels are shaping a new narrative. Nidhi Padaliya Designs emerges as one such home grown brand from Rajkot, building its identity through originality, pure fabrics, and deeply personal handcrafted experiences.
The Story Behind Nidhi Padaliya Designs.

Founded in 2018 by Nidhi Padaliya, the brand was born from a personal frustration. Living in Rajkot, a non metro city, Nidhi often found it difficult to discover outfits that reflected her taste. Most stores followed repetitive patterns in colors, fabrics, and embroidery. The lack of uniqueness inspired her to take matters into her own hands and begin creating her own ensembles.
Her journey began with painting on sarees and fabrics, an art form she continues to practice even today. Compliments soon turned into requests, and family members became her first clients and strongest supporters. What began as passion slowly evolved into a business. After taking a maternity break in 2020 and 2021, she relaunched in 2022 with renewed clarity. With an initial investment of 20,000 to 25,000 rupees, the brand stands today as a proud home grown success.
Handcrafted Customization As The Core Identity.

Nidhi Padaliya Designs operates exclusively on customization. The label offers bridal wear, fusion ensembles, festive edits, and menswear collections. Seasonal collections such as Navratri are introduced with thoughtful variation, sometimes focusing on men and at other times on women, ensuring freshness each year. Every outfit is designed according to the client’s personality, event, and preference.
The brand’s strongest differentiator lies in its entirely handworked craftsmanship. No machine embroidery is used. Each design is personally conceptualized and sketched by Nidhi before being executed by skilled artisans. Her embroidery style blends traditional Indian elements with western influences, creating original fusion motifs developed in house. Nothing is replicated or sourced externally. The result is clothing that carries authenticity, purity of fabric, and artistic intention.
Growth, Challenges, And The Vision Ahead.

The early years were not without obstacles. Advertising and market visibility posed initial challenges, as most early customers came through family support. It took nearly two to three years to build credibility among new clients who had no personal connection to the founder. Operational limitations such as having only one tailor and one embroidery artisan initially led to fitting issues and time management constraints, especially during peak wedding seasons.
However, growth came through continuous refinement. With every order, Nidhi focused on improving finishing, stitching precision, and detailing. She began offering styling guidance alongside garments to enhance the overall look and confidence of her clients. Having served approximately 500 customers across India, the brand is now working toward securing complete wedding packages for families, aiming to design eight to ten coordinated outfits per event. Over the next five years, Nidhi envisions expanding beyond national boundaries and positioning her label on a global platform while remaining firmly rooted in handcrafted customization.
